Brass Weight
Hanger and Slotted Weights
Brass weight hangers are usually made with a
thick stem and narrow hook. This design that is known as stacking style require
the weights to enter from the hook area and drop down to form a stack. Stacking
weight hangers provide a level of security for the weights because they cannot
fall off by tilting or swinging the weight hanger.
While purchasing slotted weights, you must also
buy matching slotted weight hangers or make sure that the weights match your
existing weight hangers. To do that you must know the stem diameter and hook
diameter of your weight hanger and compare it to the center hole diameter and
slot width of the weights.
The brass weight hanger model WH50B and
matching slotted weights SWBxG are described in this page. x is the mass
in grams. For example SWB10G is a 10-gram brass slotted weight.

WH50B are usually made of brass, have a center hole diameter of 6.1 mm and a
slot width of 3.2 mm. Following are the available sizes:
1 Gram Brass Slotted weight
This is a 1-gram slotted weight for
brass weight hanger WH50B or WH63 or any weight hanger with stem
diameter of 6 mm or less and hook diameter of 3 mm or less.
The slot width is 3.2 mm and the center hole diameter is 6.2 mm.
Made of brass.
It cannot be used with oversize weight hangers such as WH50, 3412 and
3411 models because those models have wider stems and hooks.
If used with aluminum weight hangers (not recommended) you will have to
add it from the top of the hook, not from the side. |

If you have older weight hangers with stem
diameter of more than 6 mm or hook diameter of more than 3 mm, It is best if you
replace your weight hangers (no charge) or buy new weight hangers. If you just
need a few extra weights for them, here are your choices.
| These slotted weights for brass weight
hangers have a 3.5 mm wide slot and a center hole with 6.5mm in
diameter. The weights will enter from the top and slide down to be
stacked on each other. This process can be
reversed and the weights can be removed from the top one at a time.
