Blood Cell
Counters
MiniScience Blood cell counters are differential
blood cell counters with rigid structure and durable components for manual
operations. They are made of metal base and ABS outer shell that can resist collision. Blood cell counters are offered in
five key and eight key models. Each key counts up to 999. The totalizer window
shows the sum of all counters. Internal bell sounds at one hundred increments of
the total count.
Five key models are labeled BASO, EOSIN, MONO,
LYMPH, POLY, and TOTAL.
Eight key models are labeled BASO, EOSIN, MYLEO,
JUVEN, STAB, SEG, LYMPH, MONO, and TOTAL.
Both models are made of a metal chassis, metal shaft and metal counting
mechanism. The cover, keys and reset knobs are made of hard plastic. The reset
knobs on both sides can clear all the numbers to zero. These counters can
usually be calibrated and repaired to full functionality after an accidental
fall.

Inside a blood cell counter
Inside a blood cell counter you have
components of 5 or 8 individual counters separated by metal divider
plates. Knowing this information can help you to maintain and repair
your own blood cell counters as needed.
There are a number of shafts or rods
passing trough the dividers and holding them together, however, each
divider can slide to the left or right by a little push.
If the counter falls or during the
transportation, the dividers may move and cause friction on one side so
that one of the counters fail to count properly. To correct this
problem, you can remove the cover and adjust the position of the
dividers.
To remove the cover you must open the
four screws at the bottom and remove the knobs by turning them.
