 Neodymium Rare Earth Magnets

What are neo Magnets?

A neodymium magnet (a special type of rare-earth magnet) is a powerful magnet made of a combination of neodymium, iron, and boron Nd2Fe14B. These magnets are very strong in comparison to their mass, but are also mechanically fragile and lose their magnetism at temperatures above 80 degrees Celsius. Neodymium magnets are rated in strength from N24 to the strongest N48. For example N35 is 35 Mega Gauss or 3500 Tesla. Both Gauss and Tesla are units of magnetic flux density. 1 Tesla is equivalent to 10,000 Gauss. The Earth's magnetic field in its core is 25 Gauss. Refrigerator magnet is 50 Gauss. The N35 magnets are 35,000,000 Gauss.

We offer N48 magnet disks with outer diameter of 0.5 inch and thickness of 0.125 inch. PART#N48.500.125
