Battery holders provide a convenient way for using batteries in different electrical circuits. Battery holders also make it possible to combine multiple batteries in series or parallel arrangements in order to produce higher voltage or higher currents.

PBH4AAS is a square plastic battery holder that holds 4 AA batteries, connecting them in series arrangement to form about 6 V output. This battery holder has a red and a black wire lead that are about 6 inches long each. Clearly marked for the size and the direction of placing batteries. The center divider and the side walls are curved to securely hold the batteries.

Parallel connections are achieved using the metal blades on the sides. Serial connections are made through interlocking male/ female fasteners on the ends.
